What's Colearning?

Colearning is an emerging word that describes the way in which curious, engaged families provide learning experiences for their children outside of school. Students colearn with direct and explicit support from their parents/guardians, as well as members of their peer group.

Colearning families actively nurture academic and non-academic interests in their children, invest in supplemental instruction, cultivate both specialized expertise and broad learning, create and manage positive social connections. And, they consistently access, plan and lead learning opportunities in their local communities.
